Fittings

Serially on all the motors with fan:

  • Suction filter which can be regenerated (frame 71 not included).
  • Thermoprotectors: NC bimetallic contacts which open when the temperature exceeds a certain value and close when it falls back under such value. Usually they are placed on the principal and auxiliary poles; in the compensated motors of frame bigger than 160, a third thermo protector is installed on the compensating winding. The value of the nominal current refered to 250 V a. c., 50/60 Hz is 2.5 A; the max current in the same conditions results to be equal to 5.0 A.

Upon request:

  • Thermoprotectors PTC type: elements characterized by the fact of having a resistance varying abruptly by the enhancement of the temperature over the calibration value. Upon request they can replace the serial thermoprotectors.
  • Platinum PT 100 thermodetectors: they allow the precise temperature detection in the point in which they are located. They need an electronic gearcase for their own feeding. The gearcase is excluded from the supply STIPAF.
  • Elastic joint for tacho generator: two versions are available, the one with a gum elastic joint, the latter of anodized aluminum in elastic membranes of sulphorous bronze with a maximum 3° angular shifting and max axial excursion of 1 mm.
  • Tachogeneretor and/or encoder available in a range of different trade marks, with electric characteristics, mechanic and protection more appropriate to the motor chosen.
  • Pressure switch for control of forced ventilation
  • Mechanic brushes wear test switch
  • Electric brushes wear test switch both devices signal any brush having reached its wearing limit and needing substitution.
  • Anti-condensation heaters generally at approx. 220 Volt
  • Brakes: upon request it is possible to equip the machines with electromagnetic brakes both for standing and for braking (braking by energy dissipation)as well as for emergency. Usually brakes from the company Mayr are used. For the selection of a suitable brake it is necessary to know the braking data i.e. monouvre/hour, masses inertia to be braked, and so on.
Upon request other types of brake may be foreseen.

Motor 225 protection IP 54 equipped with external brake disk

  • Centrifuge switch: generally used on motors foreseen for working under disexcitation with danger of motors escape with serious mechanic consequences. Intervention speed is normally set 12% higher than the max working speed.
  • Sensor for bearings vibrations control: sensors located near the bearings and which can signal anomalous vibrations development.
  • Upon request inspection polycarbonate doors are available to be used on the collector’s side cover to allow an immediate inspection of the collector.
  • Rotor’s earthing brushes: upon request it is possible to equipp the machine with a rotor’s earthing brush, useful to avoid parasitic currents running through the machine’s bearings reach the fittings directly coupled.
  • Belt tightening slides: as per the machines foreseen for coupling by pulley and belt upon request belt tightening slides composed of slides, tension plates and corresponding screws are available.
